Juicyredapple is the personal portfolio site of Joel Wasserman, art director/designer from Sydney, Australia, who has worked in the industry for over seven years both fulltime and freelance. Currently, Joel has just immigrated to New York City and is consulting for startups and local agencies.
Joel’s past experience includes working for design and advertising agencies on campaigns for both on and offline media.
Joel has worked on campaigns for major global brands with leading agencies such as Wunderman, Tequila, EuroRSG, Lowe Rivet, Amnesia (Avenue A/Razorfish), and Tribal DBB, as well as collaborating with local and international design studios.
In 2005, Joel launched GWARSH, a collective design studio. This afforded him the freedom to focus on a handful of local and international projects that he felt particularly passionate about.
GWARSH has landed accounts with a number of major brands, including Mardi Gras, Skins Footwear (New York), St Arnou Beer, and the Classic Car Club (New York).
Joel has five years experience in traditional print, working from concept to completion, as well as dealing directly with printers, attending press-checks and art directing photo-shoots, and managing other designers. He has also had six years experience in designing for interactive media, from websites and online marketing campaigns to interface applications, kiosks, and presentations.
